I followed Christine's advice and bought King Kong yesterday and watched it last night. I have to say she was right! It was very good. Although if you have seen the original, or the 70's version, you can skip to the their arrival at the island, and you won't have missed much. They let that drag out a little too much in my opinion.

Once they have reached the island, it picks up and the story really takes off from there. Peter Jackson does a very good job getting you to sympathize with the ape. The scenes with he and Fay sitting on the "edge of the world" watching the sunset were pretty good stuff! You could almost hear him say, "I'm the last of my kind. Sit here with me and watch the sunset just once. I'm tired, and I know I'll be sleeping soon."
