Weekend Update

It's late on Sunday night, and I had a great weekend. I accomplished a number of things around the house, and had a relaxing Sunday. I even managed to get in 18 holes of golf. Although my play was mediocre, the fact that it was so nice more than made up for it.

I made first use of the food dehydrator today. I cut up two apples and a banana, and fixed them. They taste very good. I plan on adding some of the bananas to my yogurt tomorrow morning, and see how that does. Too bad I didn't pick up cereal.

I still need to do some more with "Flat Stanley" that Cyndi's daughter Caitlyn sent. That will be my goal this week.

Tuesday's news.

Today I had a chance to attend my first meeting of the Toastmasters. For those of you who don't know, this is a group who's goal is to teach you how to be better at public speaking. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and plan on joining, and starting my journey to better and more effective speaking.

I'd also like to start letting everyone know about the wine's I'm tasting. The current one is a Malbec from Argentina. It's from the Broquel winery, and it is wonderful! This particular vintage is from 2002, and was a reasonable $14.95 per bottle. If you're looking for a good sipping wine, that will go well with steak, this is a gem!

It's a Monday!

Well, it's really Monday again! Spring is here, and business is taking off! I have been very slack in keeping this up to date, and plan on rectifying that.

Well, first the house. I moved in back in October. It's a 3 BR 2 bath ranch, in Fountain Inn, SC. I have a ton of yard work to do, and a laundry list of things that need doing both inside and out. But, that won't change.

I have also gotten a dog! He is a 3 year old golden retriever/border collie cross who is just full of energy. We have gone through obedience training, and he's doing much better now. He was a rescue from Foothills Golden Retirever Rescue. www.fhgrr.com is their web site. Wonderful folks! I will post photos of him later.
